Student records stay student records
Blume is a special education progress monitoring platform: districts use it to record observations and produce IEP documentation. The student information entered by your team is an education record, and the platform is built around the obligations that follow from that, including districts' responsibilities under FERPA.
Data entered into the platform is used to provide the service to your district, progress monitoring, reporting, and the documents your team generates. It is not sold, and it is not used to advertise to anyone.
The binding documents
The legally binding terms are the Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use. For procurement reviews we also maintain a fuller Data Privacy & Compliance documentation pack covering data handling, retention, and security practices in the detail IT departments need.
No integration required
The platform runs as a stand-alone, fully web-based application, there is nothing to install and no requirement to integrate with existing district systems. Your team can export their generated documents to PDF or Microsoft Word at any time.
