MaryEllen Bernier

MaryEllen has worked as an SLP for the last 22 years in various Massachusetts public school settings on the North Shore of Massachusetts. She grew up in southern Maine and obtained her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Maine. For the last 12 years, she has worked in both Technical and Traditional High School settings. Prior to that, she worked in Elementary Schools for seven years, and a Middle School for three years.

MaryEllen is passionate about supporting the communication needs of her students through direct intervention and consultation with other educators, administrators, and families. When working with students she focuses on supporting areas of challenge, helping students to realize their strengths, and also growing their self-advocacy. She and her husband, Ken, are the proud parents of three young adults ages 20, 19 and 16.
